Fighting Heart Disease on National Wear Red Day
Today we celebrate
National Wear Red Day. Sponsored by the American Heart Association to raise
awareness and advocacy in the fight against heart disease, this nationwide
movement encourages everyone to wear the color red. Red is symbolic for this
disease, the number 1 killer of women in the United States.
What are you doing to
commemorate National Wear Red Day? Is there someone you would like to pay
tribute to who survived heart disease or someone you want to recognize in
memory of this fatal disease? Visit the Go Red for Women website and see how
you can get involved in your community and for your family.
There are a myriad of conditions we can control that would prevent or reduce the risk of heart disease. Be proactive and do something before it's too late!
