Celebrating Veterans Day: Thank You
![]() |
Happy Veterans Day! |
In celebration of Military Appreciation Month, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of our veterans and active military personnel serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. We are grateful to all of our men and women who continue to protect the host of freedoms that we enjoy and often take for granted.
To the families of these amazing and heroic soldiers, we understand how difficult it is when your loved ones are scheduled for deployment, especially to hostile territory. I salute all of our courageous men and women of the armed forces for your bravery in serving our country every single day. Thank you!

Happy Veterans Day 2010

Today we are celebrating Veterans Day, which is also known as Armistice Day. Veteran’s Day is typically celebrated on November 11th and was first incorporated by President Wilson as Armistice Day in 1919. Other countries still recognize November 11th as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in honor of the Armistice treaty, which ended World War I. In 1954, Congress changed the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.
To all of our veterans near and far, retired or still on active duty, regardless of which war you fought in, we not only honor you for your service today, but every day. If it wasn’t for your patriotism to serve your country, we would not have the freedoms we enjoy today. Thank you and may God continue to bless you and your family.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
Memorial Day, a holiday in the United States observed in late May. Previously designated Decoration Day, it was inaugurated in 1868 by Gen. John A. Logan for the purpose of decorating the graves of Civil War veterans and has since become a day on which all war dead are commemorated. (The Columbia Encyclopedia. We are so blessed in the United States to have the freedoms that we have because of the service men and women, who took an oath and risked their lives to fight for our country. Although memorial means to commemorate, let’s not just honor those veterans who died, but to celebrate the lives of those who still continue to fight for and defend The United States of America!
So during your cookouts and other festivities, remember to celebrate responsibly! Peace & Blessings everyone!
